        Barrister Shaukat C Chagla was born in Mumbai Oct 14th 1925. He was the youngest of all the brothers of the illustrious Chagla family and grew up at his family home ("Amiji Villa") at the mouth of Nepean sea road. He did his schooling at Masters Tutorial High School, which was followed by a college education at the esteemed St. Xaviers College, Mumbai and went on to procure his law degree at the Government Law College, Mumbai University. As most eminent jurists of that time he went abroad and obtained his BAR at law at Lincoln Inn London. He stood on his own feet ever since he was little and infact went to the UK on a loan scholarhip. While studying abroad he served in many odd jobs including working in a post office in England...
